As our new Backend Developer with expertise in AWS Serverless, you’ll be responsible for the back-end development implementation and integration of microservices and other solutions in the cloud for our clients worldwide. We're project-based, so we're always working with someone interesting, be it Adidas, Facebook, Google, Oculus, Netflix, or Diageo.

The Real Opportunity!
- As a Sr. Backend Developer, you’ll participate in projects of all shapes and sizes at Jam3. You will work with your team lead to implement solutions, facilitating team interaction through technical expertise and effective communication
- As a member of the development team, you are responsible for deliveries of assignments, ensuring all deadlines are met and escalating concerns to your team leads and tech leads when necessary
- Review not just your own work but also the output of your team in advance of internal and client milestones
- Communicate technical and project plans and approaches with clients in a clear and concise manner
- Use your experience to recognize system deficiencies and implement/suggest effective solutions for you and your team
- Through various training and learning opportunities, you’ll keep your knowledge sharp, and stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Take part in research and development initiatives when time permits, with the understanding that the delivery of billable projects takes precedence
- You’ll have an opportunity to mentor junior team members and co-op students
Be prepared to discuss things like:
- Experience working with general AWS Services like Route53, S3, CloudFront, WAF, Lambda@Edge, CloudFront Functions, RDS, EC2, etc
- Experience working with AWS Serverless services like API Gateway (Rest & Websocket), Lambda, SQS, SNS, Event bridge, DynamoDB, Step Functions, Cognito, Serverless Aurora, etc
- Experience with a framework like SAM, STS, Serverless Framework
- Experience creating high scalable and safe microservices
- Micro-services code standards and AWS Services best practices
- Experience and knowledge of frontend application integration to your backend solutions, specifically modern frontend frameworks/libraries like React/NextJS
- Experience and knowledge in database management and migration. Relational and Non-Relational
- Experience and knowledge with Infrastructure as Code
- Experience and knowledge with Monitoring
- Experience and knowledge of JavaScript, specifically NodeJS on Lambdas
- Your opinion on popular frontend frameworks: React.js, Angular, VUE.js
- Your views on open source
