Coordinates all vault activities including shipping, receiving, ordering, and inventory control for precious and non-precious metals.
Essential Functions
Performs all Oracle activity including inventory, material handling, and distribution. Orders all supplies and consumables for the department.
Submits requisitions for inventory to maintain stock levels needed.
Communicates with the Master Production scheduler for all requirements for gold, bronze, silver and copper metals and coordinates the flow of all production quantities and product mix to meet Master Production Scheduling (MPS) requirements.
Performs routine inventory cycle counts. Addresses all inventory issues, mistakes and / or errors and other inventory control requirements as needed.
Maintains individual spreadsheets to track product, daily inventory, receivables and refining logs.
Sorts product by metal / stone type for scrap. Weighs scrap metal daily and batches to send to vendor to refine.
Receives materials / goods from outside sources. Inspects all incoming materials to ensure quality standards are met. Rejects any defective items by rejection code or weight in accordance with established procedures.
Prepares mill products and ships to all production areas, as well as refining lots as appropriate.
Assists in maintaining adequate inventory of tools, materials and supplies.
Responsible for continuously maintaining vault security.
Ensures area is maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
Performs clerical tasks such as answering phones and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 year experience in inventory control, material handling or relevant work.
Ability to safely lift items up to 50lbs with appropriate equipment and / or assistance.
Intermediate proficiency with basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, etc.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook and Excel functions to include creating and maintaining worksheets, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detailed oriented with strong organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
Ability to apply basic logic and understanding to carry out instructions.
Must be able to travel to other office and plant locations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with inventory controls, internal organization transfers and receipts, purchase requisitions, etc.
