What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Laborer/Foreman position at Jamestown Construction?
We are currently hiring hard working individuals that have Forman level experience and or have entry - level experience in a construction setting or has a background doing it in high school or college. Forman Description
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
Laborer Description
- Reading and interpreting architectural blueprints and engineering plans.
- Determining material requirements and construction techniques based on design specifications.
- Constructing steel frames, supports, columns, concrete reinforcements, and other steel structures.
- Transporting steel elements to the construction site and demarcating offloading and working areas.
- Preparing for installation by measuring, cutting, aligning, and placing steel structures.
- Positioning steel girders, columns, and supports using cranes and hoisting methods.
- Verifying the alignment of steel elements with the use of levels, plumb bobs, and laser sights.
- Installing steel infrastructure by bolting, wiring, and welding elements together according to the design specifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
