Summary:

The Patient Marketing Specialist is responsible for the successful development and implementation of patient marketing initiatives in the support of strategic enrollment plans and goals, including trial-specific communications and educational and awareness efforts via Javara’s healthcare partners and direct-to-patient channels. This role will partner cross-functionally across a broad range of print and digital projects, ensuring alignment to Javara branding guidelines and healthcare partner guidelines as appropriate. This role will work in partnership with the Senior Patient Marketing Specialist on all patient marketing needs and functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote the mission of Javara with a primary guiding principle of patient safety and well-being and building and maintaining a culture that combines the highest standard of integrity with excellence to all those Javara serves.
  • Manage the design and execution of patient marketing efforts through various initiatives including brochures, flyers, print ads, digital ads, social campaigns, in-office video display, press releases, emails, interview/testimonial videos, etc.
  • Support Operations in creation of patient enrollment plans by developing advertising plan and associated budget.
  • Lead bi-weekly patient marketing meetings with respective healthcare partners and operations teams to ensure all patient facing initiatives and campaigns are aligned and executed within study enrollment times.
  • Track all trial-specific activities in e-clinical system including all timing and cost details, communicating directly to Finance and Operations as necessary.
  • Manage printing and delivery of materials to sites as needed.
  • Manage all patient content for social media channels, coordinating efforts with the Senior Communications Specialist to ensure appropriate branding and messaging is being utilized.
  • Manage relationships with consumer media contacts for print/online advertising placements.
  • Work with internal graphic designer for creation of assets and manage efforts to timelines.
  • Make timely and informed decisions to keep projects on track within specifications and budgets.
  • Coordinate with other Marketing team members to ensure awareness of patient marketing efforts and outcomes to help influence corporate strategy and content.
  • Work with Senior Patient Marketing Specialist for necessary direction, training, and assistance when needed.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing-related roles, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Experience in direct-to-patient marketing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management/coordination experience with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent organization skills and self-initiative to prioritize and independently balance a large volume of work with tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to develop and nurture relationships with various stakeholders

Preferred

  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Experience with graphics software
  • Experience with managing social media content
