POSITION PURPOSE
JBM Packaging is on a growth trajectory. We plan to increase our staff by over 30% over the next few years. A robust candidate pipeline and an engaged workforce is critical to reach our goals.
Reporting to the Director of Human Capital and Culture, the ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of both the operational and strategic side of the business. Other vital skills include well-honed organizational abilities, a high degree of professional ethics and sense of fairness and the ability to work with individuals at all levels. Flexibility is extremely important as an Onboarding Recruitment Specialist. Must rapidly shift from one HR function to another, depending on the situation. They must also have excellent decision-making capabilities and be comfortable.
You are typically the first touchpoint for applicants and new hires. You will play an important role in creating the first impression and selling JBM Packaging. Success in this job requires a drive to exceed the recruiting goals and creativity in attracting suitable candidates. High energy,
relationship building, and follow through are a must.

THE CHALLENGE

- Passionate about creating a positive, smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Strategize ways to streamline processes and make them more efficient.
- Effectively communicate with new hires to ensure all onboarding steps are completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Specialists to assist with posting ads, sourcing, and interviewing candidates.
- Ability to quickly adapt and be flexible with changing responsibilities.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE THESE ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Conduct full-cycle recruiting efforts including: job postings, resume review, phone screens, schedule and conduct interviews, present job offers, arrange background checks and drug screens, and complete onboarding processes in Paycor.
- Assist other Talent Acquisition Specialists with full-cycle recruiting processes and support.
- Plan onboarding strategies and perform New Hire Orientation to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Track critical HR-related metrics and make recommendations for process or program improvements.
- Create and update HR/team member files.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, team members, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Support, coordinate or oversee various team member events.
- Support JBM’s appreciation and recognition programs.
- Serve as an HR point of contact with team members, including assisting with JBM policy and procedures questions, time off, employee relations, Paycor questions, etc. with efficient problem-solving.
- Create, update and oversee job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Assist in championing employee wellness initiatives.
- Set up and provide hospitality for group training/development programs.
- Manage employee recognition program (Hi-fives, anniversaries, service award program).
- Manage team member referral program.
- Assist in ad-hoc HR projects (employee surveys, celebrations, recognition events).
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Collaborate with the HR team in key workforce development or engagement programs or initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MUST HAVES
- 3 years Human Resources/Onboarding Experience.
- In-depth understanding of full-cycle recruitment process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong public speaking skills.
- Excellent organization skills, including prioritization, time management, and meeting deadlines.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience.
NICE TO HAVES
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience operating within Paycor.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
