Position Summary
The Trainer is responsible supporting the JCCS service lines in Tax, Accounting, and Audit (A&A). The Trainer will develop training programs, materials, and interactive assessment exercises that drive efficiency and consistency in all aspects of accounting procedures, regulatory standards, and application of various software technology. Training will ensure compliance with Tax Quality Standards and A&A Quality Standards as well as all applicable regulatory bodies.
The Trainer is responsible for developing and facilitating training in live and virtual environments; with travel to teach at all branch locations, as needed. The Trainer is responsible for working in collaboration with the Tax and A&A Service Line Directors and CLO in all program planning. All training programs should be designed to meet NASBA CPE Standards and documentation requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and be proficient in JCCS practices and procedures, quality control expectations, and use of software applications in Tax, Accounting, and Audit service lines.
- Coordinate all training projects through CLO for scheduling, compliance, and completion tracking for staff.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain new hire onboarding training content for firm-wide consistency in Tax, Accounting, and Audit. Modules to be utilized in staff onboarding learning plans via the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Develop and facilitate In-Person and Virtual training of staff on technical topics at appropriate experience levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced.
- Develop, and facilitate complex and interactive practical application exercises that support the assessment of comprehension of all training programs.
- Develop, record, and maintain video-based training on software technology used throughout JCCS.
- Develop user guides, sample product documentation, practice exercises, instructional checklists, and facilitation instructions and maintain same in the firm’s LMS repository.
- Ensures all training is up to date with industry, state and federal and IRS regulatory changes and update all existing training materials, and develop new programs to train on critical elements, as needed.
- Stay up to date on JCCS service line process and procedural changes and update all existing training materials, and augment programs to update department staff, as needed.
- Collaborate with CLO to conduct semi-annual check-ins with Service Line Directors to identify growth/development areas, and design/deliver educational programs based on needs. Make recommendations for additional innovative training solutions.
- May help provide transactional support for accounting or taxation services.
- Performs other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned.

To Qualify:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5 years’ experience in public accounting or teaching accounting
- Licensed CPA, preferred.
