JCM Engineering Corp. is currently seeking an experienced, bi-lingual (English and Spanish) Human Resources Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities include managing operations of human resources and payroll policies and procedures for the Company. The Human Resources Manager will provide a leadership role in developing a culture that enables associates to perform in accordance with the company’s objectives and mission. Candidate must be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, passionate about HR and is committed to improving the associate experience with every interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and maintain routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; ethics; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Manage staffing process, including recruitment, interviews, hiring and termination.
- Ensure HR compliance with required local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure all company HR policies are up to date and applied consistently.
- Serve as an advocate and counsel to hourly and exempt associates. Conduct internal investigations as needed.
- Evaluate concepts related to compensation and benefits systems, processes, and associate communications.
- Conduct necessary background checks and associate eligibility verifications.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Workers Compensation.
- Manage, review and report vacation accruals.
- Responsible for administration of Associates Benefits and 401k retirement plan.
- Process weekly Payroll (PaychexFlex)
- Managing payroll record keeping for accuracy
- Prepare necessary weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
- Manage associate recognition programs
- Manage HR personnel
Required Education and Experience
- BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field with minimum of 10 years HR /Payroll Management experience.
- Min. 10 years of HR/Payroll Management with exposure to all major functional areas of HR/Payroll.
- Knowledge of HR/Payroll systems and databases.
- In-depth payroll compliance processing experience
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish), with excellent written and verbal communication skills to support the translation of policies, associate communications, etc.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality for all associate records and information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
