KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE: * Customer Service & Sales - Approaches customers in a friendly manner to engage, determine needs, and help customers make decisions about desired product or service - Informs customers of key product attributes to generate interest and to build clientele - Covers care/protection plans and suggests additional products to customers - Meets or exceeds prescribed sales goals and productivity standards - Partners with other team members when additional support is needed - Promotes FindMore with customers to drive sales and enhance customer service - Assists with credit, rewards and gift card programs throughout the store - Actively and enthusiastically engages customers to support the company’s Instant Credit Application Process (iCAP) * General Operations - Participates in inventory processes (annual inventory, cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger, Radio Frequency Identification scans, etc.) - Participates in all Merchandise Transfer Out (MTO), Return to Vendor, Return to Warehouse and Defective Merchandise Transfer Out activities - Maintains sales floor recovery processes to ensure a clean and organized store environment - Completes pricing and signing processes in specialty businesses - Takes personal action to replenish products from stockroom or communicates replenishment needs to specialists - Stays up-to-date with new trends and styles through industry publications and communications - Participates in ongoing technical skills development through company and/or vendor-provided training and skill practice - Understands local competitive landscape * Performance Standards - Supports company shrink and safety initiatives - Consistently meets established performance standards for the role, including (but not limited to) the company’s iCAP program, product and service sales, customer service, profit, productivity and attendance CORE COMPETENCIES EMBRACES A GROWTH MINDSET * Proposes and initiates actions on new ideas that improve our product, stores or practices. * Listens to ideas and suggestions and applies ideas when appropriate, champions new initiatives. * Encourages self and others to stretch beyond current capabilities and actively searches for ways to do more with less. * Acts as a catalyst for change by challenging the status quo and motivating others to make improvements. * Applies a growth mindset by seeing change as an opportunity to learn and grow.
