What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Specialist position at JD Logistics?
SUMMARY:
The Training Specialist will learn the responsibilities and processes of GLC Distribution. They will take this information and create/develop training material. The Training Specialist will also be responsible for training new team members of GLC Distribution, in person and virtually.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, and communication with managers, instructors, and others
- Plans, organizes, and manages the presentation of training courses
- Maintains records of training activities
- Cross train all associates on all systems
- Assigns training classes/modules to new and existing employees
- Evaluates training needs for the warehouse
- Serves as an instructor for training courses.
- Review and update all lesson plans and instructional methods as processes change
- Organize training materials and visual aids
- Conduct in person and virtual training and practical exercises.
- Participates in the planning, design, and development of new training courses
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years Training experience preferred
- Background in Logistics a plus
- Background in warehouse operations preferred but not required
- Great communication skills, including public speaking
- Knowledge in PowerPoint required
- Strong presentation skills
