The Graphic Design Support Specialist will play a vital role in supporting our Graphic Designer and the overall design team. This individual will work closely with the Graphic Designer and assist in various graphic design tasks, from conceptualization to execution. Additionally, the Support Specialist will be responsible for preparing artwork for large-format printing and supporting print-related needs as required.
Responsibilities
- Graphic Design Assistance: Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to brainstorm, conceptualize, and create captivating visual content for a wide range of experiential marketing campaigns, including but not limited to event displays, promotional materials, digital assets, and social media graphics.
- Illustration and Photoshop Expertise: Utilize proficiency in both illustration and Photoshop skills to create custom illustrations and manipulate images to meet specific project requirements.
- Print Preparation: Ensure that all designs are correctly formatted and optimized for large-scale printing. Prepare print-ready files, ensuring correct formatting, resolution, and color settings for large-format printing. Coordinate with print vendors to ensure accurate production and timely delivery of materials.
- Design Production: Support the Graphic Designer in producing finalized designs, taking into account branding guidelines, design aesthetics, and client specifications.
- Collaborative Contribution: Work closely with the design team and other departments to align designs with overall campaign objectives and maintain consistency across various touchpoints.
- Quality Control: Perform thorough quality checks on all design elements to maintain high standards and error-free deliverables.
- Adaptability: Quickly adapt to project changes, deadlines, and client feedback, ensuring efficient project execution.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Provide creative solutions to design challenges, contributing fresh ideas to elevate the impact of our marketing campaigns.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest design trends, software updates, and industry advancements to enhance creative capabilities and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a print room or similar printing environment is essential to familiarity with large format printing, digital printing, and various printing techniques.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with the ability to work on graphic design tasks and prepare artwork for printing.
- Strong technical understanding of printing equipment and its maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality outputs.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively assisting multiple tasks and priorities.
- Collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills to work harmoniously with the creative team and account managers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
- Flexibility to work occasional extended hours to accommodate project demands.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a positive attitude towards feedback and professional growth.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively and to problem-solve independently and in groups.
- Experience with experiential marketing campaigns, event branding, and creating immersive experiences would be an advantage but not required.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods are spent sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

PAY RANGE: $23-$30 hourly DOE.
