Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, contract management, and vendor relationships. Your expertise in procurement management and your ability to negotiate favorable terms will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Duties:
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet the company's needs
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet quality standards and delivery requirements
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and provide guidance on procurement processes
- Utilize Oracle EBS or similar systems to manage purchasing activities and maintain accurate records
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Implement and maintain an efficient inventory management system, utilizing MRP principles
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements
