Deal Desk Manager *Option for U.S remote Other comparable titles: North America Deal Desk, Commercial Business Partner Overview: The Deal Desk Manager (Commericial Business Partner) is a pivotal cross functional role in the Sales organization. We are seeking experienced Deal Desk professionals that thrives on providing excellent support to the sales team. We are looking for agile, adaptive, problem solvers to support a complex high-volume business, develop creative deal structures and financial models to fit the needs of the customers and align with Blue Yoder’s policies and profitability. The focus of this role is to support the sales team through internal processes allowing the sales team to focus on selling. Scope: The Deal Desk Manager is a trusted advisor on pricing models, sales process and works cross collaboratively across the organization to help drive sales productivity. Partners with sales to be the point of contact for the sales executives to ensure operational excellence through the end to end “back office” processes. They are responsible for proactively working with sales to develop and support creative business opportunities in a manner that strengthens and protects corporate business and financial interests (short and long term). Ensures that proposed solutions comply with business, financial, standard business principles, policies, approval matrix and commercial terms of the corporation and business unit. What you’ll do: Build strong relationship with sales partners and other key stakeholders across the business. Work closely with all the relevant internal teams to understand the scope of the global engagement and contract Facilitate internal end to end processes contributing to sales productivity. Support sales with pricing models, increase deal velocity, improve margins. Produce wholistic views of the opportunity to ensure visibility of the whole account not just the transaction. Develop various alternatives for complex deals and provide scenario analysis to assess impact of different proposal structures Provide high level customer service to all internal and external customers Contribute insight to process improvement, efficiencies, and automaton to Salesforce CRM and CPQ Provide expert guidance to Sales in the areas of deal structuring, pricing, and contract management Participate in deal reviews with Sales/Sales Leadership to help drive Account-Level strategy on pricing/deal structuring Validates financial assumptions, T&Cs, and commercial assumptions Facilitate discounting and margin approvals with leadership Escalate non-standard terms and policy exceptions for approvals Ensures standard SLA’s and timely follow up/resolution of outstanding issues Promotes knowledge sharing and documentation Stay updated on the company processes and flows for its products and new releases What we're looking for: Highly organized and flexible with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a demanding fast-paced environment Ability to keep calm under pressure Smart, analytical, motivated, detailed-oriented problem solver Experience supporting sales through “end to end” sales process Customer focused, positive, helpful attitude with a sense of humor Experience with MS Office and modeling in Excel (ex: Pivots, conditional formulas). Experience with CRM, Salesforce and understanding of CPQ is a plus Strong team mindset collaborating to accomplish goals with the ability to work independently Excellent written and oral communication skills. History of working with Sales Leaders, Business Unit CFO and Corporate CFO.
