Responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of member’s financial transactions under the general supervision of the Assistant Branch Manager. Builds member relationships with an emphasis on financial education, through knowledge and understanding of all credit union products & services. Quality of the work produced and level of productivity is within acceptable range for the department and corresponds to level of experience; adheres to established policies and procedures. Supports the Credit Union’s Core Values and Ultimate Goal along with the branch’s focus on service, quality, efficiency, and teamwork.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greets members and non-members and provides relevant information regarding transactions, products, and services. Receives and processes member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other negotiable instruments, while adhering to all branch processes, procedures, policies, and compliance regulations.
- Performs individual settlement procedures and balances cash drawer and daily transactions. Assists with branch balancing.
- Actively engages in the relationship-building process through educating and referring Credit Union products and services. Takes responsibility for directing members to the appropriate department or resource for further information and services as necessary.
- Deescalates challenging member situations by problem-solving, exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills while demonstrating a special effort to say "yes."
- Demonstrates a commitment to learning and thoroughly understanding all Credit Union deposit and loan products and services.
- Remains vigilant and aware of surroundings, reports any unusual or suspicious behaviors, activity, or inconsistencies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; 12 months of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Cash handling experience and ability to cross-sell credit union products are also required. Strong member relations and effective communication are essential.
Salary : $23,900 - $30,300
