Asia Equity Sales – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Jefferies LLC) – Work with senior sales team on institutional sales desk to organize account and perform account maintenance, including client contact information, client interaction tracking and research subscriptions. Assist clients with conferences, summits, corporate access and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) deals. Write the Asia daily memos with key news, sales note summaries of research reports from Asia, and end-of-day market wrap. Analyze Jefferies research, trading flows and investor feedback to deliver market color and trading ideas to client base. Bring Asian analysts and company management teams to meet existing and potential investors. Build and maintain client relationships, and identify new business opportunities. Requirements: Master’s degree in Finance or Economics, plus two years of experience in the position offered or in an equity sales role at a financial services institution OR Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, plus five years of post-Bachelor’s progressive experience in the position offered or in an equity sales role at a financial services institution. All required experience must have included providing Asian market insights to clients by understanding the macroeconomic data, geopolitical events, in-house research, and market trends and dynamics; applying knowledge of China A-share/H-share listed companies and sectors; marketing Asian IPOs, secondary offerings, and follow-on offerings, and working together with other departments including Equity Capital Markets; conducting sales analysis to optimize commission revenue; and Bloomberg and Wind.
