We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Systems and Operations Specailist to join our EPMO team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in supporting our organization’s IT infrastructure, focusing on SharePoint administration, IT hardware and software management, and provide in-person, hands-on, IT assistance. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of IT systems and a passion for learning and development.
In this position, you'll have the opportunity to assist in managing our SharePoint environment, ensuring smooth operations, and resolving user issues promptly. You'll also contribute to maintaining our IT hardware and software inventory, facilitating the deployment of new technologies, and supporting our team with technical setups and configurations. Your role will be crucial in delivering exceptional IT support across the organization, including conducting training sessions to empower our employees with IT knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Administration:
Assist in the management and maintenance of the Jefferson’s SharePoint environment.
Support the creation and organization of SharePoint sites, libraries, and lists.
Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues reported by users.
Ensure proper permissions and security settings are applied to SharePoint sites.
Conduct routine SharePoint environment audits to ensure Jefferson complies with its governance plan.
Draft communications to users regarding important updates to the O365 environment, with a focus on changes that impact SharePoint, Teams and Outlook.
IT Hardware & Software Management:
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.
Assist in the procurement and deployment of new hardware and software.
Ensure all hardware is properly tagged and documented in the asset management system.
Coordinate with the Human Resources Department and external IT Management to ensure that IT hardware and software for new hires and offboarding employees is properly managed.
In-Person IT Assistance:
Provide on-site technical support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Assist with the setup and configuration of workstations, laptops, virtual meeting rooms, office network devices, and other IT equipment.
Support the IT team in various projects and initiatives as needed.
Conduct training sessions for employees on basic IT and SharePoint usage.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an IT support or SharePoint admin role. Relevant certifications may count toward experience.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of IT hardware and software. Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows operating systems.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Other Requirements: Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed. Willingness to occasionally work outside regular business hours to support IT projects.
