What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager position at Jefferson Technology?
Our growing company has an opening for an Office Manager in Charlottesville, Virginia. This full-time opportunity will be responsible for providing general office, administrative, and marketing support. The Office Manager MUST be organized, detail oriented, dependable and operate efficiently. The Office Manager will not be required to do book keeping or be on call outside of business hours in this position. This is a primarily in-office position with intermittent remote work possible.
- Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining and completing employee performance appraisals
- Work with third party vendors regarding the company’s marketing materials, social media, website, and public relations efforts
- Pursue new growth opportunities for the business
- Management of relationship with landlord and office logistics such as janitorial staff, repairs or improvements to the office space, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining office supplies
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Answering main phone line, screening and routing calls
- Maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Manage hospitality for visitors and company parties/retreats, including in-office snacks and beverages
- Support of HR processes including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding
- Supporting internal employment enrichment and continuing education of IT Consultants
- Assist with vendor management
- Obtain Client feedback on a regular basis
- Attend Community involvement opportunities
- Daily Check-ins with Consultants consisting of review of time sheets and hours
- Providing updates to Company Leadership
- Maintaining a professional appearance, providing excellent customer service and exhibiting a warm friendly & professional demeanor at all times
- Advocate for clients and IT Consultants
