Job Posting for Production Scheduler at JELD-WEN, Inc.
The Opportunity
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing and warehouse floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.
What You Will Do
Distribute and slot tickets & distribute revisions as required
Provide customer service and support to customers via the phone and email, as well as will-call
Notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers
Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking
Communicate customer service needs with drivers, sales, and operations
Update scheduling database with ticket details
Complete, update, revise various operational reports SQDCI, Time, Production
Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved
Completes status reports, such as production progress, customer information and materials inventory
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Performs other duties as required
Assist in scheduling and coordinating job site deliveries and production order flow, ensuring safe and on-time pickup and delivery
Who You Are
Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Solid customer service background
Extensive organizational and multitasking skills
Detail Oriented
Answering a high volume of calls from Drivers, Customers and Sales Team
Scheduling/booking freight pick-up and deliveries
Basic computer skills in word, excel, pivot tables, with ability to be trained on company software
Millwork Knowledge preferred
Strong, professional communication & interpersonal skills
Positive outgoing attitude
Self-motivated, goal-orientated, excellent work habits
Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
