Nurse Scheduler
Full Time - Days

- Experience in healthcare.
- Must have prior staffing scheduling.

Responsibilities for a Nurse Scheduler:
- Utilize time and attendance software and/or cell phone to contact staff members and fill unfilled shifts due to vacancies and/or call-offs that have not been filled via the time and attendance self-scheduling process.
- Re-evaluate staffing needs and utilize time and attendance software and/or cell phone to fill necessary shifts due to paid time off, fmla, light duty switches or changing weekends.
- Utilize time and attendance software and/or cell phone to complete the daily supervisor's schedule, place staff where they work regularly and fill in unfilled shifts with PRN staff.
- Manages the time and attendance self-scheduling process daily (monitoring bids and approving scheduling bids).Verify daily schedule in advance with a minimum of 72 hours to identify changes made during the month.
- Utilize time and attendance software to update the weekend and holiday schedule.
- Review and edit timecard exceptions and enter punch adjustments in the time and attendance software daily for the purpose of bi-weekly payroll approval.
- Approve timecards for Neighborhood Coordinators, Sr. Care Partners and Care Partners in the time and attendance system.
- Present scheduling information during nursing orientation.
- Schedule staff members for outings and/or doctor's appointments.
- Give report of staff that worked in activity outings and/or doctor's appointments to Payroll.
- Communicate staffing changes and needs as well as leave of absence information to the Director of Nursing and Human Resources.
- Complete and distribute miscellaneous reports and spreadsheets as requested and attend scheduled staffing meetings.
- Update the time and attendance software master schedule and position control.
- Complete personnel change forms within 72 hours of a change and submit to the Director of Nursing for signature who will then forward to Human Resources.
- Submit schedule transfer requests to the Director of Nursing and communicate approval/denial response to the requestor.
- Provide after hour and weekend support for staffing when needed.
- Provide support for regulatory surveys when needed.
- Maintain daily schedule files in an organized manner for future regulatory review.
