Our Function

The RFP team plays an integral role in business development and client service efforts through the completion of RFP, RFI, and due diligence requests for Jennison’s Equity Strategies. The role of the Senior RFP Associate is to write compelling RFP answers, working closely with Product Specialists, Relationship Managers, Client Service and other key subject matter experts (SMEs0 within the firm. This role will also be responsible for coordinating the process to produce compelling proposals for the firm’s suite of equity products in a deadline-driven environment. He/she will also be responsible for writing and maintaining original and technical product-specific content to support our Equity platform, and, importantly, to be able to effectively customize that content for specific sales situations as needed. The Senior RFP Associate has product knowledge, strong project management and communication skills and commitment to the role and the firm.

Your Impact

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Write a high volume of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and client updates for Institutional and Retail prospects/clients.
• Work with other departments within the firm to facilitate the suitability review and timely completion of RFPs/RFIs.
• Effectively manage the review/draft process from kickoff to completion, taking full ownership of the document from start to finish.
• Effectively write technical investment material.
• Add value/knowledge to proposals by understanding the prospect / client’s needs and customizing responses to suit their goals.
• Develop solid knowledge about the firm and its operations to effectively coordinate information from various departments while completing RFPs/RFIs or ad hoc client and consultant requests.
• Contribute to writing and maintaining firm and product language in RFP software, Qvidian.
• Manage the updating of all content and messaging on a quarterly/monthly/ad hoc basis.
• Working closely with Compliance to ensure materials are record kept and approved before distribution.
• Providing value-added service to Distribution teams in the production of materials.

Your Required Skills

Your required skills must include:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• CFA a significant plus
• A minimum of 5 years of RFP experience in investment management
• Direct experience creating technical, strategy-focused RFP content is a plus
• Strong understanding of the investment management business including basic product categories and distribution channels
• Must have strong writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills as well as a keen focus on detail. Strong time management and project management skills are critical.
• Ability to develop effective internal/external working relationships
• Team player with ability to work independently, seeking guidance as needed
• Takes accountability and responsibility for own work; interested in continuous improvement and able to find more effective ways to complete tasks
• Leadership qualities, self-confidence, problem-solving abilities, commitment to the Marketing team and furtherance of the firm’s business
• Must have ability to work under time pressure and manage competing priorities
• Knowledge of Qvidian RFP software is preferred; knowledge of FactSet is a plus
• Knowledge of GIPS regulations, Composite requirements, and FINRA and other Fund marketing regulations.

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $145,000. Individual salaries for this role may vary based on various factors including but not limited to, years of experience, range in corporate level, candidate skills, and geographic location. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
