Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Manager to join our squad! As the Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the store owners in daily operations and ensuring exceptional product and customer service. The store has been open for about 6 months and is running well and fully staffed with servers, the owners need to focus more on their other projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a set schedule and consistent hours. Offering $21 per hour, and 2 weeks of paid vacation per year after first 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the owners in overseeing all aspects of store operations, most importantly keeping the store clean, and maintaining proper staffing levels
- Assist the owners in scheduling and labor cost management
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries about catering orders and concerns
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring stock availability through a weekly order
- Handle cash management, including overseeing all closing procedures (typically takes 20-30 minutes after store closes)
- Collaborate with the owners to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and labor targets
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an assistant manager, shift lead, supervisor, or similar role in a food service environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to give clear directives and oversee the work of others to ensure all shifts are well run
- Experience with a POS system
- Knowledge of stock management principles and inventory control, specifically FIFO and product rotation
- Leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
Schedule would be set with 5 shifts per week Tuesday-Saturday. Start time of 2pm, and the store closes at 9pm Sunday-Thursdays, and 10pm Friday and Saturdays. (We may extend the hours in the summer until 10pm 7 days per week, but we aren't sure yet.)
