Come Grow with us. We now have 3 stores and are adding 3 more in the next 6-18 months. We are looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee operations and workers during scheduled shifts. Ultimately, you will ensure all aspects of your shift run smoothly and effectively and assist the manager in operations of the business. Responsibilities include recruiting and coaching crew members, managing cash flow, inventory management, customer service and being a brand ambassador for Jersey Mikes. If you’re a leader committed to quality service and have experience in our industry, we’d like to meet you. As assistant manager you will need to train for 8 weeks including on-line video training and in-store training on all day to day operations. This 360 hour training program will position you to certify and grow within our company. The best Assistant Managers in our company will quickly have the opportunity to become a General Manager and move to one of our salaried positions. Must be driven, passionate, coachable, detail oriented and loved by our customers and employees. Wages are dependent on experience and includes tips on top of hourly wages!!!
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and feedback to workers during shifts
- Train and coach new employees
- Inspect equipment and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to management
- Check cash drawers and prepare bank deposits
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed
- Address customer and employee complaints
- Resolve conflicts between workers
- Record weekly/monthly inventory
- Foster and maintain a positive work environment
Skills
- Proven experience as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager role
- Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations
- Commitment to excellent service
- Working well within a team
- Leadership skills and ability to make decisions fast
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to stand for long periods
- High school diploma is preferred
