What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weighmaster position at JG Boswell?
Job Summary:
Under direct supervision the weigh master will be responsible for but not limited to: operating computerized scale system which includes operation of scales, updating production information in computer and other tasked deemed necessary.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Weigh trucks as well as entering field information.
- Make sure the proper loads are sent to unloading.
- Make field ticket if required.
- Communicate with the harvesting crews.
- Monitor raw fruit and finished product quality.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Desire and ability to learn.
- Needs to be able to prioritize duties.
- Be on time.
Qualifications/experience:
- Related experience helpful.
- High school diploma/GED or related experience.
- Computer literate.
- Bilingual helpful.
Physical demands
- Perform physical activity that require use of your arms, hands, legs, whole body, such as climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces and bending.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for entire shift; up to 8 hours.
- Requires the ability to walk up and down stairs.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to hot, wet, humid, dry or windy conditions caused by the weather.
- Works inside the scale house.

- Responsible for correcting /reporting unsafe behaviors or equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
