Managers are responsible for a variety of functions of a Jimmy John’s restaurant including customer service and delivering high-quality products. They are responsible for executing fast, accurate sandwiches and world-class customer service while maintaining a clean, organized shift.
Pay Levels:
- General Managers: $49,000 - $53,000/year
- Assistant Managers: $14.50 – $15.50/hour
- Persons in Charge (Shift Manager): $14.00/hour
- Managers in Training: $13.50/hour

Manager Requirements:
- Must be able to read and write and communicate in English.
- Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and moving about the unit the entire workday
A Manager is expected to:
- Manage a staff of approximately 3 to 25 employees. Assign, oversee and evaluate work. Recommend promotion, transfer, or termination of employees based on performance.
- Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
- Delegate and be responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste or theft.
- Forecast food items. Estimate what amount of each food item will be consumed per shift.
- Assist InShop Crew Members in greeting customers, taking orders, using the cash register, assembling order and checking for completeness and correctness.
- Ensure that every customer receives world-class customer service.
- Complete daily food preparation (opening procedures, meat and vegetable slicing, bread production)
- Supervise food preparation and service operations while on duty. Assist InShop Crew Members during rush periods to ensure the maintenance of restaurant efficiency.
- Complete Opening/Closing Procedures.
- Execute systems and procedures with 100% integrity and completeness.
- Responsible for 100% of the cash drawers at all times during the shift.
- Complete daily and weekly paperwork.
- Audit prior shift’s systems and procedures for 100% integrity and completeness.
- Receive and store product/inventory.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Required qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred qualifications:
- 16 years or older
- Speaks English
- Reads English
- Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs
