What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server on call position at Jimmy Lyn's?
Servers (8-16 hours per weekend avg.)
You will receive an availability sign up sheet where you can see dates, times, and locations of events for the next 2 months. You will be assigned a crew with a lead, a Chef, and a truck driver. You are expected to arrive in dress code, check in with the lead and assist with setting tables in the reception hall and setting up the dinner service area. You may be expected to pass around appetizer trays. You will be expected to serve food on the buffet, bus tables, and do some general clean up.
Drivers (9-18 hours per weekend avg.)
The sign up process is the same. You will be assigned a job about 5 days in advance based on the availability you give. You will arrive at our truck depot and use a checklist to make sure everything is on the truck. You will then drive to our kitchen and load the food and other supplies on the truck following a list and a lead or chef’s directions. When you arrive at the event and unload the truck you will then work as a server until after dinner service when you will reload the truck and return to the kitchen and then the depot, unloading as directed.
