Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant to the Director of Sales & Catering holds a key role in overseeing sales, banquet events and marketing efforts on behalf of the Quality Inn & Suites and JJ Winns Restaurant. The Sales & Catering Assistant should be highly motivated, determined, well-spoken and able to proudly sell the hotel and restaurant's amenities.
The ideal Sales & Catering Assistant will have excellent communication skills, professional business appearance and presentations, interest in event planning and/or sales, ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, attention to detail, and the willingness to follow the direction of the Director of Sales & Catering.
Tasks Include, but are not limited to:·
-Assist in off-site sales calls and determining prospective business.·
-Generate ideas for hotel Facebook posts, Instagram posts, and other related social media.·
-Support the Director of Sales & Catering during all events, ensuring all details are covered and managed properly.·
-Create event flyers and informational pieces to be distributed throughout the building, on social media sites and for other purposes.·
-Setup/tear down all events (including but not limited to; setting up/tear down tables, chairs, linen, skirting, and place settings).·
- Generate new business, events and ideas to push the company forward.·
-Assist in planning annual hotel events, hosted by the hotel and JJ Winns, including New Year's Eve and the Holiday City Wine Festival.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
