What are the responsibilities and job description for the Costing/Supply Chain Analyst position at JK Findings?
Summary:
This position is responsible for playing an active role in preparing, maintaining, analyzing and reporting of costing and pricing data. Additionally this position will be directly involved with procurement and planning of raw materials, products and equipment focused on cost, lead times and optimization of inventory levels.

Essential Job Functions:
Maintain databases to ensure integrity of data.
Analyze
and report on variances and their causes using advanced techniques.
Review
standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
Make
timely recommendations for pricing based on analysis.
Gather
product information from various departments and vendors to cost and price new items.
Review
item bills of materials and routings for accuracy. Collect, analyze and communicate
information about product manufacturing and assembly processes.
Prepare
costing and pricing for new products while continually monitoring and updating cost changes in existing items for accuracy and to ensure
continued profitability.
Perform activities related to the procurement of raw materials,
supplies and other materials used. This includes analyzing stocking levels, setting proper planning and replenishment levels, reviewing slow moving inventory and making recommendations for discontinuing product.
Communicate procedures and quality requirements to domestic and international vendors to ensure order accuracy.
Maintain
metal free standards and support all security initiatives.
Maintain
a high level of safety standards within their department.
Requirements:

Education and/or experience:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other degree with a strong math
curriculum. Costing or supply chain experience is a plus.
Language Skills:
-Working knowledge of the English
language.
Communication Skills:
-Ability
to read and comprehend complex instructions and correspondence.
-Ability to write clear, concise instructions and correspondence.
-Ability to
effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff.
Computer Skills:
-Advanced
computer skills.
-Ability to maintain
databases and create and maintain complex spreadsheets.
Mathematical Skills:
-Ability to perform complex mathematical
equations and analysis.
-Ability to perform complex mathematical
equations and weight measurements.
Other:
-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished
in written, oral, or diagram
form. -Organizational and multi-tasking skills is a must.
Attendance:
-40 hours per week plus occasional overtime is required to
successfully complete the requirements of this position.
