JMB Renewables was established in order to help residential solar customers service and maintain their PV systems. We focus on assisting those homeowners who want help in determining how well their system is operating and what can be done to improve its performance. We also remove and reinstall systems in order to accommodate homeowners who need a roof replacement. JMB can inspect, maintain, and repair all aspects of your system from the racking, to the modules, inverter, pest abatement, and monitoring. JMB Renewables works with the top solar installation companies and is able to ensure your warranty is preserved by following the standard set forth by companies such as Sunrun, Tesla, Vivint, SunPower, and others.
JMB Renewables is seeking a Solar Installation Technician to join our fast growing team. You will be responsible for the successful installation of solar photovoltaic systems. You will have knowledge of different racking systems, how to install on various roof surfaces, and how to wire the DC portions of a system. You will be responsible reading and fully understanding design drawings, acquiring the necessary parts from the warehouse or off site vendor, and transporting equipment to the job site. You should be comfortable to work safely in all weather conditions.You will be responsible for helping to create a safe work environment and abide by JMB’s code of safety. You will have the necessary skills necessary to install solar modules, run conduit, pull wire, and terminate connections. You will also be expected to perform quality checks as well as commission completed work and troubleshoot any errors.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Experience with Zep (Tesla/SolarCity) Racking System preferred.
- 1-year experience working on rooftop solar projects.
- Experience with reading design documents and electrical drawings.
- Experience with module layout, roof and module attachments.
- 1-year experience bending conduit up to 1”.
- 1-year experience pulling and terminating wire on both the DC and AC side of the inverter.
- Ability to work safely at heights and carry up to 60 lbs with no lifting restrictions.
- Have common hand tools,
- Have reliable transportation
- Comfortable using ladders and working on roofs.
- Construction and/or PV experience is a plus.
- Operating power tools, saws, drills, ladder lifts and light duty equipment.
