Our client located in Westfield, MA in the aerospace industry is looking for a Contracts Coordinator on a dire hire/permanent basis. Growth opportunities may be available within the company a few years down the line. The client is looking to move quickly through the interview process and get someone started in the position in the coming weeks. This will be a Monday through Friday traditional office hours position and will be in their Westfield, MA based office.
Qualifications needed include the following:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in the aerospace industry
- Experience with FAR and DFAR regulations
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of finance and mathematics
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
Responsibilities include the following tasks:
- Coordination of customer meetings and presentations
- Assists the Senior Contracts Manager
- Customer order entry
- Manage long-term Aerospace contracts, negotiating contract terms and conditions, and collaborate with departments for compliance obligations
- Provide documentation and interpretation of contractual rights and obligations internally and externally
- Processes and negotiates customer requests for termination
- Works together with Finance to assure all costs are collected for the claim and presented to the customer
- Manages customer accounts through contract and order administration using customer portals to retrieve and analyze data for input into our ERP system
- Receives and reviews requests for pricing, quotations, and proposals
- Prepares responses to bids in accordance with FAR, TINA, and certified cost and pricing data standards
- Primary point of contact with customers regarding contractual obligations
- Assists the Product Line Managers, Engineering and Finance departments with contractual correspondence to our customers
- Initiates the contract review process by documenting the customer's order and contract flow-down requirements and routes those requirements to the appropriate internal departments
- Review and finalize quote packages for cost accuracy and preparation to present to management for final review and approval
- Determines Import/Export classifications and compliance, as necessary.
- Prepares and analyzes data using Microsoft Excel to be used for business analysis
- Fosters positive relationships with internal and external customers
