Summary:
The Project Manager/Project Leader will lead cross-functional projects of varying size & impact, including driving growth by delivering New Product Launches and roll-out of existing products to new markets, and/or driving business improvement by delivering product Life Cycle Management (LCM) changes impacting business protection, cost improvement, compliance & quality (i.e. source changes, pkg redesigns). The Project Manager/Leader will work together with all key functions at global and regional level to support the delivery of the strategic objectives. Teams typically include Planning, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Engineering, QA, R&D, Marketing, Sales & Finance.
Scope of work includes feasibility assessment through launch or technology transfer, and post-implementation performance measurement & lessons learned. Key deliverables include project scope, schedule & cost, while maximizing customer service, quality & compliance
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Team effectiveness – Clarify project scope from an initial concept and manage scope changes throughout the life of the project.
- Ensure there is accountability at a team and individual level, sufficient resource allocation and integration of company activities with the objective of meeting all project and business commitments
- Project Management – Administer overall team activities to deliver launches or product changes in a compliant and reliable manner. This includes development of clear project objectives, managing & tracking timelines & critical milestones, establishing contingency & acceleration plans, facilitating team decisions and issue resolution, risk management, coordinating team meetings and minutes, and establishing appropriate sub teams.
- Issue Resolution – Monitor project status / execution. Identify, communicate and help resolve key issues, including obtaining stakeholder alignment when necessary. Provide ongoing status communications to the team and appropriate levels of the organization.
