Summary The Group Lead, Support Services position encompasses a wide-ranging scope of leadership positions in the Distribution Center. Generally, the Group Lead, Support Services, will report directly to and assist a Supervisor in Support Services. The Group Lead is responsible for leading team members, while focusing on their safety, quality and accuracy of work. Immediate Openings at JOANN Stores Hudson Distribution Center 2nd shift Full Time 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm ($18.25/hr. $2/hr. shift Premium) Scope Assist in leading the Support Services departments by performing various job functions, ensuring correct procedures are being followed with the department, problem solving, communicating with Team Members, training, and keeping the Supervisors informed of any issues that may affect the efficiency and productivity of the department or building. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Act as a resource and subject matter expert for Team Members within the department to help resolve any issues that arise with day to day tasks and assignments. Provide system training to Team Members and temporary employees. Debrief with Support Services Supervisors on the expectations for the day and prioritize tasks based on expectations for the Support Services Departments. Proactively evaluate the daily progress of the Support Departments and communicate with Support Services Supervisors when appropriate. Assist operations with daily warehouse activity by providing guidance and system support for the warehouse management system. SKILLS / COMPETENCIES Effective analytical and problem solving skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems applications (SAP preferred) Strong spatial reasoning and mathematical skill PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Stand / Walk minimum of 8 hours per day on concrete flooring. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to climb stairs in multi-story structures. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Education Minimum: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience Minimum: 2 years of warehouse or distribution center experience working with warehouse management systems to support Inventory and/or Receiving functions. Experience Preferred: 3-5 years of warehouse or distribution center experience working with warehouse management systems to support Inventory and/or Receiving functions.
