We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Food Safety and Quality EHS Supervisor to join our team in the Manufacturing industry.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and quality of our food products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of food safety and quality programs that align with company standards and regulatory requirements.

This role requires a high level of expertise in food safety, quality assurance, and environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations.

Responsibilities :

1. Develop, implement and manage the food safety and quality systems, ensuring compliance with HACCP, SQF, and other relevant food safety standards.

2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

3. Lead the investigation of any food safety or quality incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

4. Deliver training and education programs to staff on food safety, quality assurance, and EHS practices.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in food safety and quality performance.

6. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to food safety and quality.

7. Ensure the organization is prepared for third-party audits and inspections, and liaise with auditors as required.

8. Stay up-to-date with changes in food safety and quality regulations and best practices, and ensure these are incorporated into company policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field.

2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a food safety and quality role within the manufacturing industry.

3. In-depth knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and other food safety standards.

4. Proven experience in developing, implementing and managing food safety and quality systems.

5. Strong understanding of EHS regulations and practices in the manufacturing industry.

6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.

7. Exceptional communication and training skills, with the ability to engage and educate staff at all levels.

8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

10. Certification in food safety auditing would be highly regarded.
