Legal Assistant and Paralegal (Corporate Law) (Litigation)
As Legal Assistant and Paralegal, you will:
- Join a specialist in condominium and home owner association legal services
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence and pleadings
- These include, but are not limited to, complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs and affidavits
- Assist Lawyers with trail preparation processes
- Prepare/organize exhibits
- Coordinate witnesses
- Conduct legal research
- File motions
- Participate in client meetings
- Coordinate with process servers
- Maintain manual and electronic file systems
- Provide additional support to Lawyers/Partners
- Perform additional general office, clerical and administrative duties as requested
- Handle special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
An ideal candidate profile will include:
- Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal experience
- Corporate Law experience
- Litigation experience
With:
- Fast and Accurate Typing / Data Entry skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word
Pluses:
- Experience with condominium and home owner association legal services
- Corel Word Perfect experience
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certification
