We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a pivotal role in the financial management of our organization. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Controller in all areas of finance and accounting operations including but not limited to: budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, payroll processing, and tax preparation.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies.
• Participate in the development and support of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Participate in the preparation of financial forecasts and report variances.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
