We are looking for an associate attorney. The associate will be responsible for all aspects of a client’s case including communicating with clients and other counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for and attending court hearings, mediations and conferences, and preparing for and attending arbitrations and trials.
Skills and experience are required, appreciated, and valued, but personality, character, intelligence, and integrity will be paramount considerations. High-maintenance, humorless, or self-important individuals will not succeed in this position and should not apply.

Job Details
- Ideally, 3-5 years experience practicing family law (we can do some training but not extensive training).
- Superlative writing, verbal, and math skills. Excellent organizational skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- High degree of proficiency with MS Word, knowledge of FamilySoft helpful.
- Working knowledge of Excel, computerized calendaring, and task management helpful.
- Able to manage multiple cases with conflicting deadlines and time pressures.
- Self-starter, quick learner, and solid ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated passion for family law.
- Licensed to practice law in Washington.
- Trained in Collaborative Law a plus
- Must have a clean record with respect to malpractice judgments and bar grievance determinations.
