Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court, before government agencies, and at arbitration proceedings.
- Conduct pretrial proceedings, including discovery, motions, and expert depositions.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and trial briefs.
- Manage all phases of litigation from initiation to resolution, including trial preparation and trial.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a variety of legal issues.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client advice.
- Ensure all actions, from trial preparation to legal advice, are in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Participate in business development efforts, including client meetings and presentations.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be a licensed attorney in the state of Florida with good standing in the Florida Bar.
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, including trial experience.
- Proven experience in expert depositions, court appearances, and jury trials.
- Exceptional case management skills, with an ability to handle a high caseload efficiently and effectively.
- Proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and the preparation and drafting of legal documents.
- Demonstrated knowledge of legal compliance and the ability to provide sound legal advice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
