Job Details
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on labor and employment law matters
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies
- Conduct legal research and analysis on labor and employment law issues
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings
- Manage discovery and document production in litigation matters
- Defend clients against claims of wrongful termination and workers compensation claims
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Stay up-to-date on changes in labor and employment law and provide guidance to clients accordingly
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar
- 2 years of experience in labor and employment law
- Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, wrongful termination, workers compensation defense, discovery, mediations, advising, legal research, and drafting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
