This is a 100% travel opportunity, offers per diem while working on our project sites. Site states include but are not limited to North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and South Carolina.
Job Description
The Commissioning Specialist provides support to the Commissioning Superintendent to manage the project commissioning activities.
This position can serve as a lead role for the respective commissioning discipline, responsible for project commissioning practices and project schedule compliance.

Job Details
Qualifications
- Associate degree in electrical engineering or related field of study and 4 years of work-related experience OR a combination of education and directly related experience equal to 8 years if non-degreed.
- 5 years of commissioning experience in utility scale solar projects.
- Clear understanding of OSHA safe workplace practices and procedures.
- Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off shift hours and weekends.
- OSHA 30 or 100.
- Advanced Racking and Tracker commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, manufacturer training and / or certification.
- Advanced Inverter commissioning, operation, communications, troubleshooting, manufacturer training and / or certification.
- Advanced DAS systems, communication systems, operations, programming, manufacturer training and / or certification.
- Good knowledge of MV Transformers and other Renewable Energy Balance of System (BOS)Advanced Construction, structural, electrical single-line and three-line drawings markups and red-lines, RFIs.
- Good knowledge of Utility and Interconnection (Substation and POI) Equipment.
- Electrical License and / or Equivalent education.
- Current and valid driver’s license required.
Nice to Haves
- Transmission scale solar experience preferred.
- Experience working with solar tracker systems.
- High Voltage Certification.
- Low Voltage Certification.
- Subcontractor and vendor management.
- NABCEP PV Associate Certification.
- NFPA 70e.
- OSHA 30.
