We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced Controller to join our dynamic Plumbing and HVAC company. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing organization, where you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our financial processes are running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

As a Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial tasks. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing and managing all financial operations within the construction company, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and month-end close.
2. Performing regular reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
3. Providing financial management information by preparing, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
4. Managing and coordinating service techs to ensure financial tasks are completed accurately and on time.
5. Preparing ad hoc reports and participating in financial projects as required.
6. Developing and managing the company's budget and forecasting, ensuring financial stability and growth.
7. Preparing and presenting financial statements, providing a clear view of the company's financial position.
8. Managing fixed assets and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
9. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this Permanent Controller position should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller role or similar, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and month-end close.
3. Strong experience in reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
4. Experience in managing service techs and working on ad hoc reporting and financial projects.
5. Solid understanding of fixed asset management.
6. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
