We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing automation and control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, installation, management, and maintenance of equipment used in the manufacturing industry. This role requires a deep understanding of Allen Bradley, PLCs, VFD's, automation, PLC programming, advanced PLC ladder logic, HMI programming, FDA, GMP, and controls programming.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement complex automation solutions and control systems.
2. Work closely with operations and process engineers to ensure the control systems support the manufacturing process.
3. Design and develop PLC and HMI software for new equipment.
4. Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems and software.
5. Develop and maintain controls documentation including cause and effect diagrams, controls narratives, and network architecture diagrams.
6. Ensure all control systems in the facility adhere to all FDA and GMP regulations.
7. Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel related to automation and controls systems.
8. Participate in project planning and perform feasibility studies to identify potential issues or obstacles.
9. Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in Allen Bradley, PLCs, VFD's, automation, PLC programming, advanced PLC ladder logic, and HMI programming.
4. Extensive knowledge of FDA and GMP regulations.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
9. Strong commitment to safety and quality.
