Job Details
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Event Planner to join our team in the nonprofit industry. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and resourceful individual to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of corporate events. You will play a critical role in creating memorable experiences that drive business success and enhance our brand image. This position requires a high degree of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute corporate events such as conferences, meetings, seminars, and other events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective service provision.
- Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms for event services.
- Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations, food, drinks, etc.)
- Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations and report on outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
- Handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an event planner or organizer.
- Impressive portfolio of previously managed events (weddings, meetings, parties, corporate events).
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and event management software.
- A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to handle stress and remain calm under pressure.
- Degree in hospitality management, public relations, or relevant field is preferred.
