Our law firm is seeking a dedicated and passionate Family Law Associate who is ready to make a significant impact in our clients' lives. This is a full-time, permanent position for an experienced attorney who is eager to take on challenging cases and contribute to our firm's reputation for excellence. The successful candidate will be handling a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, domestic violence, and more. This role requires a strong commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle complex family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and domestic violence.
2. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
3. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
4. Conduct discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production.
5. Provide legal advice to clients concerning their rights, obligations, and legal options.
6. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all client interactions.
7. Develop and implement case strategy in accordance with client goals and legal requirements.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in family law and related areas of law.
9. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the highest quality of legal services.
10. Participate in business development activities, including networking and community outreach.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce and child custody cases.
4. Proven litigation skills, including experience in trial, negotiation, and mediation.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
7. Ability to manage a heavy caseload and juggle multiple priorities
