Job Details

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, and property division.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations, advocating for their best interests and rights.
• Manage a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met and all case documents are properly prepared and filed.
• Conduct thorough and diligent case research and analysis to develop effective legal strategies.
• Counsel clients on their legal rights and obligations, helping them to make informed decisions.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, orders, and agreements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all professional ethics standards.
• Keep clients informed about the progress of their cases and respond promptly to their inquiries and concerns.
• Participate in continuing legal education to stay updated on changes in family law.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney.
• Proven experience in litigation, mediation, case management, and client counseling.
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of empathy and understanding in dealing with clients facing emotional distress.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage a heavy caseload.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of legal ethics and professionalism.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain client confidentiality.
