Working at our firm provides a unique opportunity to work on a large range of projects both in the office and on-site. You should expect to go on on-site visits for new construction as well as investigation scenes post-fire.

Position in our Tustin, CA office (Orange County).

Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated Permanent Fire Protection Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining fire protection systems in various buildings and structures. You will work closely with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure that all fire protection systems are up to code and meet the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement fire protection systems for various buildings and structures
• Conduct site surveys to assess fire risks and develop fire safety plans
• Review and approve construction plans and specifications to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations
• Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure that all fire protection systems are integrated into the overall building design
• Conduct tests and inspections of fire protection systems to ensure that they are functioning properly
• Develop maintenance plans for fire protection systems and oversee their implementation
• Provide technical support to building owners and operators on fire safety issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or BS Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• 2 years of experience as a Fire Protection Systems Engineer or Fire Protection Engineer
• Experience with fire control and gas piping systems
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations and codes
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
