The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all personnel policies and procedures that impact plant operations. This role is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of employment policies and standards, establishing and achieving human resource requirements. Administer wage and salary ranges. This position serves as the company representative for safety programs, policies, and procedures, analysis, and reporting of safety issues, including the development of plans and time schedules for the implementation of safety policies and procedures. The Manager represents the company before local, state, and federal agencies in regard to safety issues including compliance and regulation.

Responsible for labor relations including grievance handling, contract negotiations, contract interpretation, contract administration and related training.

Responsible for the training and development of plant personnel in areas such as mandatory safety training, professional and educational goals and requirements, on-the-job training, ISO 9001 and other training mandates.

Manage the recruitment, screening and hiring of qualified personnel to meet the manpower requirements for the Tempe facility.

Develop and administer compensation and comprehensive benefit plans, employee relations programs and personnel development programs to meet the company's obligations to employees and provide for future growth.

Implement occupational health and safety programs that will meet the company's objective for a healthy, dependable workforce with minimal on-the-job injuries or illnesses.

Manage the return-to-work and worker's compensation cost management programs.

Ensure that positive employee relations are maintained and that the company's management principles, policies and programs are consistently practiced.

Direct, supervise and motivate direct reports by training, communications and personal example.
Position Qualifications
-
A minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years experience in human resources and labor relations at least 5 in a union environment preferred

A 4 year degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related field

Thorough understanding of Federal and State Labor Laws, OSHA, EEOC requirements and Arizona worker's compensation laws.
