As a Draft/Design Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our client's network infrastructure team. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around the design and drafting aspects of our telecommunications projects, with a strong emphasis on efficient project planning, permitting, and ensuring the successful deployment of fiber optic networks.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software for drafting and design.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications and fiber optic network design principles.
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Job DetailsDesign and Drafting: Create detailed and accurate design plans for both ariel and underground fiber optic installations, including duct banks, splice enclosures, and other infrastructure components. Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and other relevant tools to produce high-quality technical drawings.
Permitting Process: Collaborate with permitting authorities and regulatory bodies to secure the necessary permits and approvals for telecommunications projects. Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
Pre-fielding Prints: Develop pre-fielding prints and technical documentation that guide field teams in the implementation of network infrastructure. Provide clear and concise instructions for installation, routing, and splicing.
Overlay on Existing Projects: Review and assess existing customer projects to identify opportunities for network expansion, optimization, or enhancements. Create overlays and proposals to improve existing infrastructure.
Final Design Package Submissions: Prepare and compile comprehensive design packages for submission to our customers upon project completion. These packages should include all necessary documentation, drawings, and as-built records.
Telecommuting: Depending on the work needs and project requirements, this position offers the flexibility to telecommute a portion of your workweek, allowing for improved work-life balance.
