Are you a passionate, detail-oriented, and talented Infrastructure Administrator? Are you excited about the prospect of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your skills will be tested and honed? If you answered yes, then this opportunity is for you. As a Permanent Infrastructure Administrator in our Engineering Industry, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving our IT infrastructure. This includes working with advanced technologies such as MS Teams, Active Directory, firewall systems, Cisco Routers, Exchange, and GPOs.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
2. Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies to preserve data integrity.
3. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
4. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
5. Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
6. Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our end-users encounter.
7. Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems.
8. Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
9. Implement and manage firewall configurations, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, and other network security devices.
10. Manage and administer MS Teams, Active Directory, and GPOs.
11. Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a system administration role.
3. Strong experience with MS Teams, Active Directory, and GPOs.
4. Proficient in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
5. Strong knowledge of Cisco Routers and firewall configurations.
6. Experience with Exchange and other email systems.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
8. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
9. Strong documentation skills.
10. Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
11. Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
12. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
13. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
14. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
15. Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
16. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
