We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and experienced Permanent Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional legal guidance and representation to our insurance company clients. As part of our team, you will handle complex litigation matters, provide legal analysis and advice, prepare and file legal documents, and conduct trials. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile cases, engage in challenging legal work, and contribute to our firm's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
1. Represent insurance companies in defense litigation cases, including conducting trials, pre-trial proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
2. Conduct thorough legal research to provide accurate and timely counsel to clients.
3. Prepare and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, contracts, and other necessary legal documents.
4. Develop case strategies based on the review and analysis of evidence.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters swiftly and favorably.
6. Maintain a high degree of professional conduct and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
7. Stay updated on current legislation and legal changes that may affect clients and cases.
8. Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure efficient case management.
9. Foster positive relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and excellent service.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in insurance defense litigation.
3. Active license to practice law in the state.
4. Demonstrated experience in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
5. Proficient in legal research with a strong understanding of state and federal laws related to insurance defense.
6. Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think strategically.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail.
10. High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
