As a Permanent Med Surg RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical environment. You will work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, and other nursing staff, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. If you are a skilled and compassionate nurse with a passion for improving patient outcomes, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med Surg unit, including pre- and post-operative care, wound care, medication administration, and other nursing interventions as needed. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. Monitor patients' vital signs, assess their condition, and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and ensure that all medications are given safely and accurately. Educate patients and their families about their care plan, including medications, treatments, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection and analysis, to improve patient outcomes and ensure the highest level of care.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg nursing or a related field. Strong clinical skills, including the ability to assess and prioritize patient needs, administer medications and treatments, and provide wound care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, and to remain calm and focused under pressure. Knowledge of surgical procedures and post-operative care preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required.
