Job Details

Medical Assistant - 40 hours/week - Monday-Friday
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and prepare them for their appointments
- Take vital signs and record medical history
- Perform diagnostic tests such as EKGs, X-rays, and blood work
- Assist physicians with medical procedures and treatments
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician
- Maintain patient records and update electronic health records
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits
- Provide patient education and answer questions regarding treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to perform diagnostic tests and administer medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proficient in electronic health records and other medical software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
