Job Details
We are seeking a Contract Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Contract Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees. If you are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy and compliance, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing: Utilize your extensive payroll knowledge and experience to accurately process payroll for our employees. This includes calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
2. UKG Software Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for managing our UKG software, ensuring all employee data is accurate and up-to-date. Collaborate with the HR team to maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
3. Data Analysis: Leverage your advanced Excel skills to analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies, and resolve any issues that may arise. Utilize VLOOKUP and pivot tables to generate reports and provide insights to the management team.
4. Compliance and Auditing: Stay up-to-date with the latest payroll regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and identify any potential areas of improvement.
5. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries. Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive employee experience.
6. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities for automation and implement best practices to streamline payroll operations.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing is required. Experience in the medical industry is preferred but not mandatory.
2. Payroll Expertise: In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, including calculations, deductions, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Familiarity with UKG software is highly desired.
3. Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, is essential. Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and generate reports to support decision-making.
4. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy are critical in this role. Ability to meticulously review payroll data and identify any discrepancies or errors.
5. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong multitasking abilities are essential.
6. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact with employees and address their payroll-related inquiries. Professionalism and diplomacy are key.
7. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently. Proactive mindset to identify potential problems before they arise.
